Health & Safety Policy

Health & Safety Policy Statement

Our policy is to provide and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, equipment and systems of work for all of our employees and to provide such information, training and supervision, as they need for this purpose. We also accept our responsibilities for the health and safety of other people who may be affected by our activities. The allocation of duties for safety matters and the arrangements that are made to implement the policy are set out in other sections. We will make every endeavour to ensure that our statutory duties are met.

Every worker shall be given sufficient information, instruction and training to enable safe working within the organisation. An assessment of training needs will be made by the General Manager. Each employee will have their own training programme that will be reviewed regularly and training will be given by way of in-house and out of house training courses.

Management will ensure that all processes and their systems include health and safety. Competent employees will be appointed to assist with our statutory obligations and, when required specialist contractors or consultants will be employed.

For successful implementation of this policy every employee will comply with the details set out within. The policy is available to all employees, contractors, visitors and customers. The master copy will be kept in the Managing Director's office and additional copies will be kept in the General Office and Works Canteen. Contractors will be forwarded a copy of the policy in advance of them conducting any work on site.

The policy will have total commitment from the Managing Director and all employees.

The policy will be kept up to date to reflect any changes in the nature and size of the business. To ensure this, the policy and the way it operates will be reviewed annually by the Health and Safety Adviser. To ensure that its objectives are being met, if necessary, it will be revised earlier in the light of any legislative or organisational change.
